The International Data Week Sponsorship Committee will pursue and obtain sponsors for the various meetings and activities associated with International Data Week, September 2016, in Washington, DC, following these guidelines:
Establish a set of sponsorship levels for contributors, with an eye towards covering all of the meeting costs
Make use of the existing networks within CODATA, ICSU, and RDA
Reach out to as broad a group as possible in terms of discipline, geographic location, and organization type
Strive for a balance of sponsors for the SciDataCon, RDA, and International Data Forum meetings
Report on status regularly to the IDW Management Team
