Dear FSRTG and VSSIG members,
 
Apologies for crossposting
Hope you are doing well. We wanted to update you on the status of the FSRTG group and the past and future events that FSRTG and VSSIG have been represented.  
Our apologies for not having organised a meeting for the group for quite a while, as the group will not continue in this form, but could evolve to become a wider FAIR Semantics WG, that Yann Le Franc will announce in the upcoming RDA P18 
 
Past and Upcoming conferences-events

SciDataCon 2021 was held in October 25th with a session on “Scientific Vocabularies:
needs, status, validity, governance and sustainability” where VSSIG was represented. This link includes access to the slide deck and meeting notes

RDA P18 starts this Wednesday 3rd of November, and you can browse the programme here
VSSIG is taking place twice to accommodate different time zones on the following dates:

Tuesday 9th of November 16:00-17.30pm UTC
Wednesday 10th of November 7.30-9.00am UTC (REPEAT SESSION)

 

 

Past activities

Gerry presented “FAIRsFAIR “Recommendations for FAIR Semantics” at the  OpenScienceFAIR in September, mentioning the group’s interaction with the FAIR Semantic recommendations.
