Big Meeting at RDA tomorrow

    Hi everyone,
Tomorrow the RDA Vocabulary and Semantic Services Interest Group will meet from 9:00 to 10:30 AM CET (GMT+1, I believe), in B95 (second floor, between the 2 straight staircases).
We co-chairs and supporters have been scrambling to get ready for the call, as our chair-among-co-chairs, Simon Cox, was unable to travel at the last minute. I am sending this email both as an update and a last reminder.
Below you will find the contents of the Minutes page, which contains helpful links to the gotomeeting, other pages, and a set of seeding questions we hope to discuss. The Minutes page is at https://docs.google.com/document/d/16JUxVxOsYm-JVqN1X9Ra7PeDgI-szp4xghW4…, please help us take notes, or add your own thoughts.
The official RDA11 VSSIG session page is at https://www.rd-alliance.org/ig-vocabulary-services-rda-11th-plenary-meeting, and contains additional remote dial-up information.
The seeding questions to be discussed are:
    • Are the processes of the IG working overall?
    • Do we want to encourage delivery of persistent products (as opposed to a social exchange)? What are minimum requirements for a task group to stay viable?
    • Suggestions for improvements (to participation, products, meeting schedule, ..)
    • What is appropriate action to take as products are produced?
You may bring up other questions or topics during the discussion period, which we’ll try to make at least 30 minutes.
We look forward to seeing many of you in person or on the call. Thanks!
    John
