Dear all,
I wanted to briefly let you know about the launch of Materials Open Research – a new open science publishing platform created by F1000 and Taylor & Francis. MOR may be of interest to this particular RDA working group as it advocates an open data policy and endorses the FAIR data principles.
All articles submitted to the platform must include citations to repositories that host the data underlying the results, together with details of any software used to process results. If authors fail to openly provide data for publication without good justification it is likely to result in the rejection of their article. We also make best efforts to ensure the underlying research data is FAIR – full details can be found on our Data Guidelines page.
Alongisde our data policy, we also support the reproduciblity through a wide range of article types. Data Notes, for example, provide a brief descriptions of datasets that promote the potential reuse of research data and include details of why and how the data were created. For a full breakdown of our flexible article types you can visit the Article Guidelines page.
As of today, Materials Open Research is open for submissions! If anyone has any questions about the platform please do not hesitate to get in touch. Thank you for your time and interest.
Kind regards,
Jack Brook
