Dear all,
Thanks for your efforts on the call today.
We worked in detail through Sections 5, 6 and 7 making some adjustments as we went along, particularly for section 5. We also discussed more briefly section 8.
We agreed that I would make some further edits offline and then distribute these. That version is attached.
Gail: this is NOT the final version to be turned into the PDF.
The edits I have made are as follows:
6: Credit and Attribution
– edited the section of credit and attribution to reference the Joint Declaration.
– added recommendations to that section. (In doing this I found myself drawn into making some more changes to the text – I hope these are OK).
7: Equity
– edited the recommendations to make them shorter and more conformant in style.
8: Responsibilities
– minor adjustments to layout for conformity.
Bernard: said he would look again at Responsibilities. > please do this on the attached CLEAN version or on a separate document send it to me before 7am UTC on Saturday.
Enrique: said he would make the agreed changes to Principle 3 on Harmonisation. > please do this on the attached CLEAN version or on a separate document and send it to me before 7am UTC on Saturday.
I will collate these changes and any more send a final version to Gail for her to start work on the pdf on Saturday morning California time.
I attach two version, one with tracked changes of the changes I made after the call and a CLEAN version. My computer or old version of Word has been struggling with documents with many tracked changes, so please make any further changes in the CLEAN version and send them to me.
Whatever further edits I receive, I will work tomorrow morning (South Africa) to finalise a clean version for Gail to put into the pdf.

The changes are in bold and red. Three rewriting in 3, 6 and rec 3 and one deletion in 9.
