Dear RDA in Sweden members,
The Nordic e-Infrastructure Collaboration (NeIC) will hold an advanced course and a workshop on FAIR data stewardship on 13-17 November 2023. This is intended for data professionals who wish to expand their skills and meet/discuss with like-minded colleagues across the Nordics and beyond. The program runs over a full week and is divided into three parts and you can register to attend any of the parts online or on-site in Oslo. Early-bird registration is available until 14 September.
13–14 Nov: Practical FAIRification (Luiz Bonino)
Summary overview of relevant FAIR data stewardship skills (such as Linked Data and Semantic Web technologies) and a practical demonstration of the steps in a FAIRification processs from planning to execution.
15 Nov: Workshop on data stewardship (NeIC)
Invited speakers and participants contribute to sharing experiences from working as data stewards, data curators or other data management professionals followed by a discussion on future course curriculum, training needs and tools development.
16–17 Nov: FAIR ontologies engineering (Giancarlo Guizzardi)
Ontologies play a key role in data interoperability but, for that, they must themselves be designed for interoperability. The main objective of this course is to introduce practitioners to the theory and practice of Ontology Engineering in general, and the engineering of FAIR ontologies, in particular.
