Dear members of RDA in Australia,
As you may know, the Virtual Plenary
is still going
strong this week, with many sessions scheduled over the next few days.
We have our second Virtual Plenary keynote today at 14:15 AEST / 13:45 ACST
/ 12:15 AWST. Dr Cathy Foley, Chief Scientist of CSIRO, will be speaking
about “*Thinking about Data Differently – If Data is the ‘New Oil’ will it
Mean We Will Have Regrets in Decades to Come?*” You can register here
, if you
would like to join the session.
The Virtual Poster session
is also
continuing. Please visit the posters and log in to the RDA Web site to
leave your comments and engage with the poster authors. I particularly
invite you to let us know how we can better support the RDA community in
Australia via the “RDA in Australia – help us improve!
” poster.
Physical RDA Plenaries bring together people from a wide variety of
backgrounds, communities, and countries, and many of the most valuable
interactions happen during the coffee breaks. We therefore invite you to
two virtual coffee breaks on Thursday (9 April) in the morning and afternoon
.
Bring a cuppa, meet some other RDA members, and have a chat!
Best wishes,
Stefanie
