Subject: The PIDfest call for proposals is now open!
    To:
Mark your calendar for 11–13 June 2024 to join PIDfest in the picturesque
city of Prague, Czech Republic! Embark on a three-day journey of
enlightenment at this international summit, where insightful talks,
engaging activities, and problem-solving workshops converge to explore the
transformative power of persistent identifiers (PIDs) in shaping open
    research infrastructure globally.
Organized by the National Library of Technology (NTK) in Prague and the
Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC), the goal of PIDFest is to bring
together advocates for PIDs from around the world, fostering collaborative
solutions to tangible infrastructure challenges and opportunities that will
help expedite research, openness, and innovation. The highly interactive
event promises dynamic discussions centered on practical strategies for
overcoming real-world hurdles in the delivery of research infrastructure.
PIDfest is now inviting proposals for concurrent sessions (30 or 60
minutes) that encompass and reflect a range of perspectives
(organizational, functional, geographic, demographic, etc). Sessions will
be a mix of presentations and panel discussions covering the following
    PID-related topics:

    PIDs 101/PID basics

Case studies/lessons learned, both technical and social ( successes and
    failures)

    PID strategies and policies (general)

    National PID strategies

Novel uses of PIDs and emerging PIDs

    Persistence and sustainability of PIDs

    Technical applications of PIDs

    PID value propositions

PIDs at scale (in research workflows and infrastructure globally)

    PID-enabled connections

    Beyond PIDs—metadata and schema

    And more…
If you would like to propose a session, please complete and submit this form
    by *February 23*. All
proposals will be anonymized and reviewed by the PIDfest Program Committee,
and you will be informed of our decision by March 15. Please note that all
speakers must be able to attend PIDfest 2024 in person.
We look forward to receiving your proposal! In the meantime, visit the PIDfest
website for the latest updates on the program
    and registration.
