Dear members of the Long Tail of Research Data Interest Group,
First of all, my apologies for not contacting you sooner. There have been some technical issues with the mailing list and I am only learning now that I can contact you (I hope) via this Group Mailinglist.
In preparation for the meeting in Dublin in March, a few of us have put together a short survey looking at discovery metadata for “long tail” data repositories. If you haven’t already, please consider responding to the survey which is available here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/K269KXB
We are also working on developing the agenda for the Meeting in Dublin. The Long Tail meeting will take place on Friday and we have two 1.5 hour slots in the programme.
We are proposing for the first slot to look at some use cases and also service profiles for managing research data.
For the second slot, we will present the results of the survey and have a discussion about levels of interoperability between repositories in that area.
Now that I know how it functions, I would like to encourage group discussion via this Group Maillist. So please feel free to pose questions and suggest topics for discussion both virtually or in the context of the RDA meeting.
