Hi all,
I’m not much of a tweeter, but I recognize the importance. To date, it appears that no IDW hashtag has taken hold.
#IDW is for a comic book publisher
#IDW2016 has been used, but not since April (except twice for International Data Week)
#IDWeek2016 is some other conference
#intdataweek was used once for us but I find it unwieldy, and I don’t like having the hashtag the same as our handle, which is being used (@intdataweek)
So, I propose we go with #idw2016 and spread the word
Of course, #RDAPlenary is a longstanding hashtag. SciDataCon doesn’t appear to have one, but #scidatacon seems obvious.

Thanks, Mark.
We (CMP) are preparing various wifi access instructions and social media information for the back of the name badges and elsewhere. Therefore, having a consensus on this would be great. I have seen #RDAPlenary and #IDW2016 quite a bit. We can publish these if the committee agrees.
If SciDataCon wants to publish a hashtag, please let us know. Thanks again!
