    Hi Timea:
This is better, but I still have some issues with the formatting and readability… but also with the impression one gets looking at it.
For instance, there is no gap between Geoffrey Boulton’s closing statement, the social event, and the RDA 8th plenary meeting, which is a completely different thing.
The document still comes across as a continuous stream-of-consciousness. It is very difficult to find any given session. I think we do need to break it into separate events.
    Best-
    Bernard

    Hi all,
What if we reduced the information granularity for IDF and structured it more like the other sessions? So for instance, each panel would look like the breakout listings. I.e. remove the times for the individual speakers and instead list only the time for the whole session, the panel name, moderator, and speakers? This would be more consistent with the color coding of the other sessions (white for breaks, grey for sessions), and should condense the content to fit on 2 or 3 pages rather than spilling over into the 4th page.
Also, I would like to see the #idw2016 hashtag on the podium cards if possible?
    Many thanks!

Thanks Timea. I agree with both Bernard and Lynn’s suggestions, and that by reducing the content heaviness of the program, it will be more readable/usable.
I’ll spend more time doing a more thorough review over the weekend.
    Thanks again.

    Dear Timea,
Great job! I hope you can still accept the comments/requests below:
    – For the programme design, I think readability could be improved by
removing the alternate white/light grey background for the rows in the
table. The orange background used for the start of each day is helpful. The
dark grey could be used for plenaries only (Grand Ball Room) and light grey
    for breakouts.
    – For the SciDataCon Programme, could you please:
    – *Note that there is a possible change to the programme on Tuesday.
I hope you can allow us to confirm this last change by tomorrow COB in
    Europe.*
    – Add the room for the two plenaries on Monday and Tuesday. The
programmme should read ‘Opening Keynotes: Elaine Faustmann,
    Simon Cox *(Grand
Ball Room)*’ and ‘Closing Keynote: Christine Borgman *(Grand Ball
    Room)*’
    – add numbered Breakout Session like on the RDA programme
    – correct the start/end time of plenary sessions to allow for
    transition
    – all these changes are highlighted in yellow on the simplified
    SciDataCon Programme here: https://docs.google.com/
    spreadsheets/d/1Lnp9sqv7G96IKF_p3cX6GNGL7z2puXX0HlSA9xncVKo/
    edit?usp=sharing

    – For IDFprogramme: could you please remove Sandy Harrison’s affiliation
for the Introduction (as it appears just before where she is introduced as
    Moderator of the Panel)
    – For the Badge design: please make sure to replace the WDS logo with
the one sent to you earlier and attached again (it is OK on the other
    documents).
    Very best wishes.
    Mustapha

    Hi Timea, all;
You’ve acknowledged that you’re yet to incorporate Mustapha’s changes https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Lnp9sqv7G96IKF_p3cX6GNGL7z2puXX0
These include those things highlighted in yellow:
Add the room for the two plenaries on Monday and Tuesday. The programmme should read ‘Opening Keynotes: Elaine Faustmann, Simon Cox (Grand Ball Room)’ and ‘Closing Keynote: Christine Borgman (Grand Ball Room)’
add numbered Breakout Session like on the RDA programme
correct the start/end time of plenary sessions to allow for transition
Also we have had as Mustapha said, been obliged to make a programme change. ‘Towards Continental Federation of Research Infrastructures’ will now run over two session on Tue 13 Sept in Tower Court C. (again marked in Yellow).
(I hadn’t seen this conformed, apologies if duplication).
Also, the Twitter handle for SciDataCon2016 should have an ampersand like the one for @IntDataWeek.
    Thanks very much!
    S.

    Hi Timea, all;
You’ve acknowledged that you’re yet to incorporate Mustapha’s changes https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Lnp9sqv7G96IKF_p3cX6GNGL7z2puXX0
These include those things highlighted in yellow:
    · Add the room for the two plenaries on Monday and Tuesday. The programmme should read ‘Opening Keynotes: Elaine Faustmann, Simon Cox (Grand Ball Room)’ and ‘Closing Keynote: Christine Borgman (Grand Ball Room)’
    · add numbered Breakout Session like on the RDA programme
    · correct the start/end time of plenary sessions to allow for transition
Also we have had as Mustapha said, been obliged to make a programme change. ‘Towards Continental Federation of Research Infrastructures’ will now run over two session on Tue 13 Sept in Tower Court C. (again marked in Yellow).
(I hadn’t seen this conformed, apologies if duplication).
Also, the Twitter handle for SciDataCon2016 should have an ampersand like the one for @IntDataWeek.
    Thanks very much!
    S.

    Dear all,
Thank you very much for all your comments and suggestions.
Note that we have added updated versions of the 2 agendas to the Google Drive. Links available below:
    SciDataCon & IDF – https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B-LcysbX_0lPOHNxYldFeFNnMlU
    IDF & RDA – https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B-LcysbX_0lPb0dMeGZIdzE3bW8
We are collecting your input for the final versions.
Will start with your comments, Mustapha. Thank you very much.
We might consider removing a panel for the SciDatacon one unless there is something you’d like listed in the available space.
    Looking forward to your feedback.
    Many thanks again,
    Timea

Thanks Timea. I agree with both Bernard and Lynn’s suggestions, and that by reducing the content heaviness of the program, it will be more readable/usable.
I’ll spend more time doing a more thorough review over the weekend.
    Thanks again.

    Hi all,
What if we reduced the information granularity for IDF and structured it more like the other sessions? So for instance, each panel would look like the breakout listings. I.e. remove the times for the individual speakers and instead list only the time for the whole session, the panel name, moderator, and speakers? This would be more consistent with the color coding of the other sessions (white for breaks, grey for sessions), and should condense the content to fit on 2 or 3 pages rather than spilling over into the 4th page.
Also, I would like to see the #idw2016 hashtag on the podium cards if possible?
    Many thanks!
    Lynn

    Best-
    Bernard
