    Hello,
In the message below Hugh Shanahan makes a provocative suggestion that we bring the open access debate to IDW.
This is something to discuss with the nascent Program Committee, but I’d be interested in your reactions.
    cheers,
    -m.

    Hi Mark
I hope you’re well. I don’t mean to raise your blood
pressure first thing in the morning but I suggest you read a recent NEJM
    article on Data Sharing.
    http://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMe1516564
Be warned – the level of disingenuousness of this article is just
    breath-taking.
I’ve bashed out a letter in response to them which no doubt they will
politely ignore but it seems to me that this is something of an
opportunity, namely if the council could write something in reply to the
NEJM then it’s harder for them to ignore. Likewise, perhaps an
invitation to SciData Con or the RDA plenary in Denver for a debate
might also be a good idea?
    Hugh
