A reminder to register
for
next week’s OASPA (Open Access Scholarly
Publishers Association) webinar which on Wednesday, June 24th at 3.00 pm
BST / 10.00 am EDT / 2.00 pm UTC.
This webinar will explore recent steps from some publishers and other
scholarly communications organisations, including FAIRsharing
,
that are collaborating with the aim of increasing efficiency and speed
in the publication of COVID-19 research by responding to researcher
needs for societal impact.
*Sarah Greaves* (Hindawi Ltd) will share information about the
cross-publisher “RapidReview” of COVID papers initiative, which has a
number of publishers collaborating. *Monica Granados *& *Michael
Johansson *(Outbreak PREreview) will talk of the link to COVID preprints
and closing the loop. *Susanna- Assunta Sansone *& *Peter McQuilton
*(FAIRsharing
)
will talk about data sharing and stewardship and cross-publisher
harmonization.
This initiative is a work in progress and we would welcome your
feedback, questions and general support to ensure that COVID papers are
rapidly shared and rigorously reviewed at this time. Our speakers will
each provide their own perspective and then we will open up the webinar
to questions from the audience.
