Hi, all,
To Gary’s point that the collection of terms and the capture of their
conceptual distinctions is of interest to the DFT-WG and is of benefit
to the whole RDA organization, wanted to make you aware of the
term-collection-tool wiki prototype that the DFT-WG has been developing:
http://smw-rda.esc.rzg.mpg.de/index.php/Main_Page (it requires a
separate login from the RDA site). You should find it provides the usual
wiki Discussion tab to support dialog to “help us progress to a some
mutual understanding that would aid communication across our various
communities”.
With the caveat that this is still a tool in development, you are
cordially invited to try it out as a place to collect the terms and
definitions necessary to facilitate your work in the MD-WG (e.g.,
“catalog”, “registry”, “directory”). Understanding the process of tool
development, we also invite your comments and suggestions in the
soon-to-arrive “Feature requests & feedback” page.
