The “Ocean Data Interoperability Platform” (ODIP) is a project funded in the framework of an US-EU collaboration initiative.
ODIP will contribute to the removal of barriers hindering the effective sharing of data across scientific domains and international boundaries. ODIP includes all the major organisations engaged in ocean data management in EU, US, and Australia. Dr. Helen Glaves (BGS) is the PI of ODIP; Helen is also co-chair of the RDA “Marine Data Harmonization IG”.
Recently, ODIP had its second Workshop in San Diego, USA, from 3rd to the 6th December 2013, hosted by the Scripps Institution of Oceanography. The programme was dedicated to discussing the work plans and progress of the three ODIP Prototype projects as formulated earlier.
The first ODIP Prototype project aims to .. ‘establish interoperability between SeaDataNet CDI, US NODC, and IMOS  MCP Data Discovery and Access services, making use of a brokerage service, towards  interacting with the IODE-ODP en GEOSS portals.’ Dr. Dick Schaap (MARIS) coordinates the prototype activities.
The ODIP Workshop conclusions will be published in the next months.

Please, find attached the sub-agenda dedicated to the ODIP Prototype #1 and a simlified diagram showing the brokering framework discussed during the meeting.
