    Dear Members of the EOSC-Future/RDA AIDV-WG,
    I wanted to bring to your attention a promising webinar on ‘How Bibliometrics and University Rankings Reward Unreliable Science’ coming up this Wednesday, 20 December 2023 from 2:00 pm-3:30 pm WAT (13:00 to 14:30 UTC / 7:00 am to 8:30 am EST). The main speaker will be Professor Ivan Oransky, MD, co-founder of Retraction Watch, Editor-in-Chief of Spectrum, and Distinguished Journalist in Residence at New York University’s Arthur Carter Journalism Institute. Dr. Natalie Evans (Assistant Professor of Ethics, Law, and Medical Humanities) from the Amsterdam University Medical Centers will also speak. There will also be a brief discussion on the new Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment (CoARA)’s Working Group on ‘Ethics and Research Integrity Policy in Responsible Research Assessment for Data and Artificial Intelligence (ERIP)’.
