We are thrilled to announce that the RDA Europe Office has welcome more new faces in the past weeks! Our team has expanded to include another Science Officer, a Communication Officer, and a Senior Communication and Engagement Manager. Read on to get acquainted with the new team members.

Reinforcements for RDA TIGER

To support the ever-growing number of RDA Working Groups benefitting from TIGER support, Liise Lehtsalu joined the RDA Europe team as Science Officer and TIGER Facilitator in May. Liise worked previously at the Research Support Office in Eurac Research, where her focus was on Open Science and Responsible Research and Innovation.

At Eurac Research Liise led the institutional open access and research ethics policy development and coordinated and supported research data management policy and service development. She now brings this extensive experience to the RDA network and will work with TIGER-supported groups to advise and facilitate their work.

Strengthening RDA Communications

As a global organisation that thrives on the connectivity of our network, communications are a vital part of RDA’s work.

We are therefore pleased to welcome two new communication professionals to RDA; Rosie Allison as Communications Officer and Genevieve Halbert as Senior Communication and Engagement Manager.

Rosie Allison comes to the RDA having previously worked to advance the voice of research libraries and their stakeholders at LIBER (Association of European Research Libraries). It was here that Rosie developed a passion for Open Science and gained skills in advancing open knowledge through clear, effective communication.

As Communication Officer at RDA Europe, Rosie will collaborate with the global Secretariat to unite the community and share RDA’s activities and outputs throughout our network.

Genevieve Halbert joins RDA from Médecins Sans Frontières Ireland, where she led the Digital team. Having worked as a marketing and communications specialist in both the private and non-profit sectors, Genevieve looks forward to putting her skills to use as RDA Europe’s Senior Communications and Engagement Manager.

Genevieve will provide communications services to TIGER-supported groups and will work to advance and develop RDA Europe’s wider communications strategy.

With a growing team, RDA Europe will continue to “inspire, cultivate and support European communities, organisations and individuals’’ in the implementation of the RDA’s Strategic Goals.
