Tuesday 21st May

Welcome back to Week 2 of the 22nd RDA Plenary! We have lots more engaging content coming up for you this week. But before we dive in, let’s recap what went on during yesterday’s co-located sessions:

Stay tuned to this blog or our social media pages (X and LinkedIn) for regular updates on today’s sessions.

Interested in how RDA TIGER could support your Working Group? Good news! You can apply for TIGER support in the current round of the open call until 31st May.

Breakout Session 10

Five more RDA Groups are taking centre stage this morning to present, discuss, and gain feedback on their work, including sessions on:

Europe Office Hours

After the RDA Europe region was presented and discussed during the Opening Plenary last week, this session offered participants the chance to network with and pose questions to the RDA Europe Office and Regional Partners. The discussion covered:

Breakout Session 11

The second Breakout Session of the day is underway. As well as a repeat session on categorisation schema for digital research tools, we are discussing:

Breakout Session 12

We are ending Day 4 with three more repeat sessions to allow our global community the chance to attend sessions in a timezone that suits them, plus:

And that’s a wrap for Day 4! We hope you had a chance today to attend today’s plenary session, ‘Collaborating Internationally for Regional Benefit’, some breakout meetings, and perhaps also the European region’s Office Hours session. This trend will continue tomorrow, with the US region’s Office Hours session taking place at 19:00 UTC.

Also happening tomorrow is the RDA for Newcomers Session. If you are new to RDA, this event is for you. Taking place at 17:00 UTC, this informal session (with no presentation slides) will provide you a chance to hear about the value of RDA from our members and of course, ask any questions.

We will be back tomorrow with more (repeat) sessions which thanks to our generous co-chairs, are being held for the second time during this plenary to accommodate as many members as possible who live in different time zones. Look out for two breakout sessions happening for the first time, too:

See you tomorrow!
