Meeting title: Developing Use Cases and Surveying the Landscape
Please give a short introduction describing the activities and the scope of the group
The RDA/TDWG Metadata Standards for Attribution of Physical and Digital Collections Stewardship WG is a new working group which will address the incomplete standards for giving attribution for the maintenance, curation, and digitization of collections. Within the scope of the WG, collections can include digital data and physical objects. This WG will produce use cases from a variety of disciplines that will be used to create the final deliverable – an attribution metadata schema and related standards. Adopters will include stewards of collections (such as the Natural History Museum London) and aggregators of professional research metrics (such as ImpactStory). For more information see the WG case statement. This WG will comprise three work packages, two of which we can begin to address at this meeting: use cases and existing schema.
Please provide additional links to informative material related to your group i.e. group page, Case statement, working documents etc

For this open session, we invite anyone involved or interested in the use and maintenance of research collections to participate. As this is going to be the first meeting of the group, we seek wide participation from across relevant domain-specific groups (e.g. Biodiversity Data Integration IG, Marine Data and Marine Data Harmonisation) as well as technical groups as the Research Data Collections WG, PID Collections WG and core metadata groups. We also invite relevant Interest and Task Group from the TDWG community to take stock and participate to this first meeting. Please review the existing use cases and the list of existing schemas.
