MARCELO MIGLIORANZA

Marcelo Haertel Miglioranza, Brazilian, born in Porto Alegre on June 2, 1981. Started his graduation in medicine at the Federal Health Sciences University of Porto Alegre (Universidade Federal de Ciências da Saúde de Porto Alegre). Since the beginning of his training, demonstrated great interest in research, participating in many research projects in Cardiology at the Cardiology Institute of Rio Grande do Sul (Instituto de Cardiologia do Rio Grande do Sul). Joined the Junior Scientific Program of The National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico – CNPq) during 3 years, receiving in 2005 the “Best Junior Researcher Award” of the Cardiology Institute of Rio Grande do Sul. Graduated in Medicine in 2005. Was Internal Medicine Resident in the Department of Internal Medicine at the Clinical Hospital of Porto Alegre (Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre) from 2007 to 2009, and attended an elective training in the Echocardiography Laboratory at the Italian National Research Center in Pisa, Italy. Medical Resident in Cardiology at Cardiology Institute of Rio Grande do Sul, from 2009 to 2011, attending again an elective training in the Echocardiography Laboratory at the Italian National Research Center in Pisa, Italy. Resident of Echocardiography in Cardiology at Cardiology Institute of Rio Grande do Sul, from 2011 to 2012. Fellow in Cardiovascular Imaging at Ramón y Cajal Hospital, Madrid, Spain from March to December 2012 and at Azienda Ospedaliera di Padova / Universidad de Padova, Padova, Italy in 2013.
