Andy Kolovos

I am the archivist and a staff folklorist at the Vermont Folklife Center where I am responsible for an ethnographic archival collection focused on the cultural practices and traditional arts of residents of the state of Vermont. I am a co-director of the National Folklore Archives Initiative and part of the team who developed the Folklore Collections Database (http://folklorecollections.org). I'm biased toward archival methods, theory and standards--I'll just get that out of the way right now. For what it's worth, I hold a PhD in Folklore and Ethnomusicology and an MLS, both from Indiana University.
