I am the Counsellor for Science, Skills, and Innovation at the New Zealand Mission to the European Union in Brussels. My home ministry in New Zealand is the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment. I was previously with the NZ Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, posted to Tokyo as First Secretary (Economic) covering science co-operation. I have a abackground in Japan affiars, including working as an international project co-ordinator at a Japanese multinational in the 1990s.
