I have been teaching and researching the past and culture of South-East Europe for more than 20 years. The main focus of his work is the social, religious, demographic, and cultural development of the Serbs and neighboring ethnic groups (Turks, Hungarians, Wlachs, etc.) in the middle ages and early modern period. The special attention has been paid to the spatial component of historical development through the research of historical geography and historical demography. As a part of intense efforts to improve the skills in the field of digital humanities, I am shifting my activities in the field of GIS and application of the graph database technologies in historical research. I participated in several summer schools in the area of digital humanities. I am a member of several scientific organizations and NG groups dedicated to the study of social and cultural history.
