Franco Alberto Cardillo

I got a Master Degree in Computer Science in 2001, a Master Degree in Computer Technologies in 2004, and a PhD in Computer Science in 2007, all with the highest marks and from the University of Pisa. For the Master degree I implemented a Computer-Aided Diagnosis tool for the early detection of breast cancer in magnetic resonance images and experimented with real-world datasets. My PhD activity focused on biologically-inpired approaches for image processing and object recognition. Currently I am a post-doc researcher at the Istituto di Scienza e Tecnologie dell'Informazione of the Italian National Research Council located in Pisa. My current research focuses on novel techniques and algorithms for the processing and the analysis of very large image datasets.
