I manage and oversee the Information and Research Support Services that assists the research programmes at Bioversity. The Research Support Services assists both staff at HQ and in the region with their research needs. We facilitate access to over 100 scientific journals on-line, bibliographic databases, e-books, and provide training on research tools such as Mendeley. My responsibilities also extends to the management of research data. I am the focal point in the curation and archiving of data for Bioversity's institutional repository, I have developed institutional data management guidelines, and I am actively involved in data management issues for Bioversity. I am the focal point with regards to all things Open Access at Bioversity, and I am an active member of the CGIAR Open Access Working Group. I also have certification from the Creative Commons organisation on open licensing. I am also a member of the Publication Advisory Group at Bioversity which advises management on the publishing of quality scientific and related work. My present project includes being a member of a working group focused on operationalizing FAIR data within Bioversity, for the CGIAR Big Data Platform.
