In 1987 I took my B.Sc. in physics and biology at Uppsala university. My first position outside the academia I got the same year in a Biotech/Pharamaceutical company (KABI; now merged and split into other companies) in Stockholm. In 2002 I took my Ph.D. in biomedicine, focused on endothelial cells 2002. Remained as postdoc at Uppsala University until 2005 when I decided to move to Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm. 2008 I switched to the Swedish research Council, the largest governmental research funder in Sweden. I worked with funding matters in a very wide range of scientific areas, also in the EU context and in collaborations with research funders in India and China. Since 2016 I am back at Uppsala university as a research adviser in areas like research infrastructure and research data management.
