Francisco López Martín is a United Nations Civil servant and holds three master’s degree, one in Information Sciences, one in Law and the third one in Political Sciences. He is currently serving at the Secretariat of the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture (ITPGRFA), hosted at Climate, Biodiversity Land and Water Department of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). He has served in different positions in the International Treaty since 2007, including information and communication officer, meeting officer, programme and planning coordinator and Multilateral System officer. He has also been coordinating the planning of the Governing Body sessions (Rome, Tunis, Bali, Muscat and Kigali) and other inter-sessional meetings and the production of official documents. He is currently responsible for the operations of the Multilateral System and the Global Information System of the International Treaty.
