She is a Principal Researcher: Geo-Informatics at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) Meraka Institute. She is the chair for the Data Sub-committee (CSI:DSC) for the Committee for Spatial Information(CSI), the national SDI statutory body in South Africa. As chair she directs the SDI workprogram for data custodianship, metadata and SDI integration within the terrestrial, coastal and marine spheres on a national level.
