Conservation Scientist, PhD in Environmental Sciences, she is research technician at the Institute for the Conservation and Valorization of Cultural Heritage - National Research Council of Italy. She deals with research, study and teaching on issues related to indoor deterioration processes of artworks, especially stone and paintings. Her research activity mainly aims at investigating methodologies and techniques for diagnostics and microclimatic monitoring of Cultural Heritage. She is member of UNI-Cultural Heritage Commission (Italy), Working Groups “GL1/Guidelines and Terms”, “GL4/Environment” and "GL14/Light and Cultural Heritage". She is member of ICOMOS Italy. She is member of scientific committees in conferences on cultural heritage and she is organizer of conferences at national and international level. She has participated as speaker in 70 national and international conferences on diagnostics, microclimatic monitoring, safeguard, and preventive conservation for cultural heritage. She is author/co-author of 100 publications in books, national and international journals, and proceedings of national and international conferences as well as books editor.
