Jean-Pierre Vilotte is professor at the Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris and director of the Parallel Computing and Data Analysis Centre of the Institute. His main research concerns earthquake seismology and wave tomography, computational seismology, statistical signal analysis, interferometry, and seismic source imaging, landslides and dynamics of granular media, parallel computing and data-intensive architectures. He is scientific deputy at the Institut des Sciences de l'Univers of the French Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) for Intensive Computing (HPC, HPDA, AI) and Data. He is the French representative at the SKA Regional Centres Steering Committee (SRCSC). He is contributing to the EOSC-Pillar project.
