Chief Information Architect for the Planetary Data System leading a team of discipline and data scientists responsible for the development of the PDS4 Information Model for NASA’s Planetary Data System. Regularly consults on ontology and information model development for projects in several disciplines. Associate member of Jet Propulsion Laboratory’s Center for Data Science and Technology, a virtual center for research, development and operations of data intensive and data-driven science systems. Current interests are the application of semantic technologies to information model-driven systems development, information system interoperability, and long-term digital preservation. Member of the Primary Trusted Digital Repository Accreditation Board (PTAB). Took part in the validation of the ISO 16363 standards on audit and certification of trustworthy digital repositories and helps teach a High Level Training Course on ISO 16363 for Managers of Digital Repositories. Participate in international data standards development.
