Constantina Papoutsakis, PhD, RD is Senior Director, Nutrition and Dietetics Data Science Center of the Academy (Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics) where she oversees the Nutrition Care Process, ANDHII, an Informatics areas of RISA (Research International and Scientific Affairs). She chairs the Professional Practice Committee of EFAD (European Federation of Associations of Dietitians) and is a member of EFAD’s Executive Committee. Prior to joining the Academy as staff, Dr. Papoutsakis chaired the NCP International Workgroup of the Academy. She has lead initiatives to monitor best practices among dietitians internationally with emphasis on the Nutrition Care Process Terminology (NCPT). She has lectured and organized workshops for health professionals and university students in several countries in Europe, Asia, and the US.Since1994, Dr. Papoutsakis has taught university courses, worked as a clinical dietitian and researcher, served as a clinical and managerial expert of NIH funded cancer randomized clinical trials, and published widely on nutrition/dietetic topics. The emphasis of her research is on the impact of nutrition in chronic disease outcomes. Her most recent accepted publication is the update of the Nutrition Care Process Model.
