More than 45 years of design engineering, operations and consultant experience Originally started as engineer on real-time software developments for air traffic control I become more and more involved in data management, interpretation and preservation. Over the time, the career was oriented towards satellite remote sensing , i.e. earth observation, becoming a participant in the evolution of data sensing and data preservation aspects of the scientific lifecycle. Later, I turned towards the understanding of the business aspects and practices of the scientific research, and becoming a consultant on design and operation of governance modles for data management from acquisition, archiving and long term preservation, availability to users, design of processes and services aimed at support user and business needs.
