We are making the climate risk assessment process more accessible to any U.S. community that is at risk to sea level rise or flooding. Our team is doing this by leveraging +80 federal, state, and local datasets (e.g. NOAA Sea Level Rise Scenarios, FEMA floodplains, DHS critical infrastructure, etc) along with OpenStreet Map and open source mapping software. Any community can now develop their own risk assessment at the neighborhood or city level, or they can assess economic losses for any individual structure -- all by using federal standards for economic loss assessment. More info is found in our website.
Our platform currently includes asset and hazard data, though we are beginning to do additional analysis on impacts on public health, agriculture crop yields, and other domain.

(1) RDA_ClimateChallenge_epaus_04 - air quality data fits well with our recent commitment with the White House to model how air particulates will change with increased wildifire risk. The impact will be changes in asthma rates, which will be shared in late 2015. Access to our WH commitment: https://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2015/04/07/fact-sheet-admini...

(2) RDA_ClimateChallenge_cna_05 - We would like to more closely show impacts based on the National Climate System. It would provide a comparison to our results (already developed).

(3) RDA_ClimateChallenge_surgewatch_15 - This would extend our platform beyond the United States (where flood scenarios are provided FEMA) and into the United Kingdom.

(4) RDA_ClimateChallenge_uscdinasa_27 - We already use many of these datasets.

We want to expand our platform into the United Kingdom, conduct more analysis on public health effects from increased wildfire risk, and include additional NCA indicators for climate impact.
