RDA P3 BoF Geospatial information

The Geospatial information BoF will be chaired by Simon Cox, simon.cox[at]csiro.au

Geospatial characteristics are import in much research data, particularly in the environmental and social sciences. Map-oriented discovery and visualization interfaces are common, and there is a relatively mature system of software and standards to support geospatial data, including both industry consortia and formal standards bodies.

This BoF will provide an opportunity for RDA participants to examine existing initiatives, and to consider whether any additional coordination through RDA is required.
