RDA Opens Call for Posters for Virtual Plenary 18

From 3 – 18 November 2021, RDA will hold its 18th Plenary Meeting, in virtual format (VP18). Building off the momentum of last April’s meeting (VP17), VP18 will offer breakout meetings for working and interest groups, poster sessions and networking opportunities. Based on prior attendance from previous plenaries which ranged between 600-800 individuals, attendees can look forward to numerous small, interactive meetings within a structured agenda that enable collaboration, visibility, and advancement of projects.

To participate in VP18, you have the option to participate as just an attendee (registration opening soon), or have a more active role by participating in the Poster Session, leading a Birds of a Feather session, or if you are a group chair, leading a working and/or interest group session (see announcement regarding Call for Sessions).

To participate in the Poster Session, please submit your poster abstract by Wednesday, 15 September 2021, 23:59 UTC. The Poster Session will be offered four times throughout the event and will provide an excellent opportunity to share your research accomplishments with an audience of data practitioners, computer scientists, researchers, policy makers and private sector representatives. Leveraging the platform, gather.town, poster sessions will be scheduled at different times to accommodate multiple time zones. Presenters will be asked to join at least one of the four sessions, with at least one presenter for each poster be expected to register for the Plenary.

The timeline for the poster submission process is as follows:

  • Call for Posters closes on Wednesday, 15 September 2021, 23:59 UTC.
  • Notifications and further instructions will be sent out by Friday, 24 September 2021.
  • Submit your final poster by Friday, 15 October 2021, 23:59 UTC.

Questions or concerns related to the Call for Posters can be sent to enquiries{at}rd-alliance.org.

Lastly, don't forget the deadline for the Call for Sessions is 6 August.

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you at P18!
