RDA Open Call - EOSC Interoperability Framework
The EOSC Future project and RDA have launched an open call for the Interoperability Framework Adoption Grant. Deadline 13 December 16 CET, Grants up to Eur 30,000 available.
A webinar to ask questions and get feedback is planned for: 24 November, 11-12 CET, 9 UTC (a recording will be made available). Registration here.
Applicability for the RDA Community:
The call would suit applications from RDA Groups that are already looking into interoperablity along disciplinary or thematic areas. Analysis of the EOSC Interoperability Framework in the context of other international science commons initiatives is also applicable, as well as creating examples or demonstrators around different layers of interoperability across different services and data e.g metadata cross-walks. For some disciplines it might be of interest to have their community standards registered in the framework and a pilot in this direction could be applicable, as well as novel ways of approaching issues related to interoperability across communities
The grant can go to individuals or institutions who would be able to carry out a short-term project to demonstrate ideally how this framework could be aligned with current WG or IG plans, and interoperability efforts.
About the Framework: The EOSC Interoperability Framework is a mechanism to allow data, and other research outputs to become interoperable. It contains recommendations and requirements for disciplinary data to be interoperable but is still yet to be populated with such targeted semantic interoperability standards for research data.
