Call for RDA Europe Ambassadors - deadline is fast approaching!

The RDA EU Ambassadors programme offers a series of grants targeting distinguished and well-connected domain experts who can develop a two-way communication and engagement vector, promoting RDA outputs and perspectives while streamlining insights and practical contribution from domain focused data communities into the work of RDA. RDA Europe Early Career and Expert grants for Plenary 13 - Calls now OPEN! 

We are pleased to announce the launch of the open calls for the RDA Europe Early Careers and Experts grants offering financial support to Early Career European Researchers and Scientists and to mid-career or senior data professional and scientists to attend the 13th RDA Plenary meeting, to be held Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA 2-4 April 2019. Data citation in scholarly literature: the Scholix adoption story at Plenary 12

The 12th Research Data Alliance Plenary brought together the global RDA community as part of the International Data Week 2018 in Gaborone, Botswana. The conference programme included a plenary session focused on the Adoption the adoption of RDA outputs and recommendations, showcasing a set of use cases to highlight uptake challenges and benefits. During that session, Martin Fenner, Technical Director at DataCite and co-chair of the Scholix WG, described how the RDA Scholarly Link Exchange Working Group Recommendations were adopted by DataCite.  Continue reading

RDA in France annual meeting, Paris, 5 December 2018

The first annual RDA-France day will take place on December 5, 2018 at MESRI, 25 rue de la Montagne Sainte Geneviève. It is organized as part of the Open Science Days, which will take place from 4 to 6 December, organized by the Open Science Committee recently set up by the Ministry. RDA UK node launch webinar, 12 December 2018 at 11:00 GMT / 12:00 CET

The Science & Technology Facilities Council (STFC), RDA UK node supported by Jisc, will be running a number of webinars and workshops to promote the work of the RDA and engage with the UK research community. The first webinar will be on 12 December, from 11 till 12 (GMT), where the UK national node will be launched and activities and plans presented, as well as the work of the RDA.
