Groups: IG Domain Repositories, IG Marine Data Harmonization, WG Research Data Collections

Agenda:

Cyndy Chandler (Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution) "Adoption of Data Citation WG Recommendations by the Biological and Chemical Oceanography Data Management Office"

Justin Buck (British Oceanographic Data Centre) "Citing dynamic data; A single DOI for Argo, a step towards RDA recommendations"

Michael Witt (Purdue University) "Going Global with 23 Things"

Please give a brief introduction describing the activities and scope of the group(s)

The Domain Repositories IG (DRIG) was created to build upon common interests across scientific domains in data curation, preservation, and repository operations. The DRIG seeks to promote RDA innovations among data repositories and to provide use cases and advice to RDA WGs that will benefit domain repositories.

This session will provide a forum for sharing experiences implementing standards, products, and recommendations from RDA WGs in repositories. A number of disciplines are directly interacting with RDA WGs to solve problems faced by repositories. We will discuss the process of integrating RDA outputs into ongoing operations and the broader issue of demonstrating the value of these developments to domain scientists.

Please provide additional links to informative material related to the participating groups i.e. group pages, case statements, working documents etc
