As discussed in our recent call, the NSF grant that supports RDA/US includes a small amount of funding to cover travel to support RDA outreach by folks on the RDA/US AC, and potentially others but the AC was the target. This was budgeted at $2500 per instance with five instances in 2014 and more in the out years. These are just guidelines but we do need to expend the funds in 2014. A few AC members have added entries to the Outreach Opportunities spreadsheet at

but no on has asked for any funding. This is an opportunity to cover travel expenses that might not otherwise be covered as long as you add an RDA session or talk to your trip. The policy, which basically requires a proposal of no more than one page, can be found at

We would also ask for a very brief report on what happened – to include in our reports back to NSF.
