RE: RDA Plenary in Salzburg, Oct 23
Thanks Andy, Remote participation should work - it worked quite well in Gothenburg. Would you mind if I added you to the potential speakers? And/or someone else from PaNOSC? I have modified the first paragraph to include John and Kamil's points about motivations. I see that the deadline has been moved until Sunday - though practically I will have to get this done by tomorrow lunchtime (UK time) if possible Thanks Brian -----Original Message----- From: Andrew GOETZ <***@***.***> Sent: 07 June 2023 12:210 | Add new comment

Hi Brian, thanks for this initiative and driving it forward. I am unfortunately not available to attend physically as I will be just back from the ICALEPCS 2023 conference in Cape Town. I might be able to attend remotely. Anyway I will try to help as much as possible from the sidelines. In August I am giving a talk at IUCr on the outcomes of PaNOSC and ExPaNDS. I will use this occasion to exchange with scientists to gather some feedback about their needs which I could provide you with0 | Add new comment
RE: [rda-rdnpnsc-ig] RDA Plenary in Salzburg, Oct 23
Good idea Brian. One of the issues we (Diamond) have is understanding the legal implications and risk of releasing data and metadata, especially user-defined auxiliary data (which are central to FAIR). It might be good to discuss this. I am certainly not an expert! RDA Plenary in Salzburg, Oct 23
Dear All, I was wondering about proposing a session of the Research data needs of the Photon and Neutron Science community IG at the next RDA plenary in Salzburg, 23-26 October 2023? See: https://www.rd-alliance.org/rdas-21st-plenary-call-sessions With the ExPaNDS and PaNOSC projects finishing recently, it would be timely to share these results and also look forward to compare with activity elsewhere0 | Add new comment
