Appropriate licenses or waivers for RDA output?

Dear RDA Legal Interoperability IG members, I write to you as a the chair of an RDA task force developing a proposed policy for RDA Outputs and IP. The committee has completed phase one, where we have defined four classes of outputs and their level of RDA “endorsement”. I call your attention to the amount of elapsed time between when the WHAYTWG was initiated and HTML5 was submitted to W3C as a candidate specification. (2004-2011). Hi all, We have a telecon, tomorrow (Monday) at 15:00 UTC. See the agenda and particulars below. Agenda: 1. Update from Council on our draft policy. They would like to adopt an interim policy that says that everything RDA produces (at least on the web site) is generally available under a CC-BY license. Is that acceptable? 2. Update on involving “legal experts”. Anna Eisenstadt has agreed to join us as recommended by the Legal Interoperability IG. seeking comment on draft outputs and IP policy

Dear RDA WG and IG chairs, I am chairing an RDA Task Force developing a policy recommendation to Council on what constitute formal RDA outputs and what their associated IP should be. We are taking a two phase approach. In phase one, we define what outputs RDA might produce and endorse. In phase two, we invite international legal experts to guide us on the appropriate IP for those outputs. The central goal is to encourage adoption of RDA principles and outputs.0 | Add new comment
