GBTF: taking it forward

by Devika Madalli

Dear All Its been a while. Its time to take the RDA GBTF forward. First of all, let me share with you all that Natalie Harrower stepped down as co-chair of the TF as she now has more professional responsibilities. I thank her for her support so far and solicit her continued engagement with the group. Which brings us to the question "how do we move forward?". Just to refresh our memory we started with the following potential/suggested actions: No more ‘manels’: requirement for diversity in Plenary guidelines.

Women are less likely to be consulted on the design of data policies and initiatives; under-represented among the ranks of data scientists; and often uncounted in official statistics. Why?

Hi

by Devika Madalli

Dear Natalie Hi. I cannot seem to get back to GBTF work. We could not get it off ground so far. Shall I do one more round for a skype call soliciting present members to attend? At the least, we can plan some F2F time during P11 with some of them to plan course of action ahead . Let me know your thoughts Best Regards Devika With best regards --- Devika P. Thanks for this - I have responded in the comments (phew, no-one closed them on the 15th :) If this is introduced at the Berlin plenary, I supposed we would need to provide a briefing for all conference crew, as they listed as go-tos in the harassment section. Excellent work, thank you. Natalie _______________ Dr. Natalie Harrower Director, Digital Repository of Ireland Royal Irish Academy ***@***.*** | @natalieharrower www.dri.ie | @dri_ireland
