RDA IE Meet the Experts presentation, ongoing Open Calls and Webinar invitation

Dear all,
Thank you very much to those of you who have joined our Meet the Expert session last Monday. Hosted by the RDA Ireland coordinator, the National Library of Ireland, the lecture provided by Hilary Hanahoe, RDA Secretary General, covered the opportunities brought forward by the emergence of data intensive science and data management mandates extended to traditional libraries. The talk has highlighted how the Research Data Alliance supports the work of the libraries, librarians, archivists and information professionals in this evolving context.

Subscription to the RDA in Ireland Group

Dear members of the RDA in Ireland Group,

RDA is an international volunteer member based organisation and as such encourages the initiative and support of its members across the globe to animate their community on a national level. Researchers and innovators are local rather than global. Therefore interacting with them in the local language, offering them a platform for exchange of information suitable to the RDA and their activities, in compliance with RDA's guiding principles, is part of RDA's mission.

RDA Ireland National Event, 18 June 2015

 

In June 2015 an Irish National event was co-organised by Sandra Collins (Digital Repository of Ireland) and Mike Ryan (Science Foundation Ireland), and held at the Royal Irish Academy. Invited speakers included Mark Parsons (Secretary General of the Research Data Alliance) and Hilary Hanahoe (then-coordinator of RDA Europe), and RDA Technical Advisory Board member Peter Fox.
