Dear colleagues This call for abstracts might be of interest.  The Space4Innovation edited book project in collaboration with the GEOIndigenousAlliance, the Confederation of Indigenous Nationalities of the Ecuadorian Amazon (CONFENIAE), and the Namunyak Community Conservation tentatively titled: “Indigenizing Education for Climate Action: Strategies, Case Studies, and Testimonies.” If you are interested in submitting a chapter, please submit this proposal no later than Sunday, October 16 by 11:59pm GMT. Agriculture drives more than 90% of tropical deforestation

This new study published in the journal Science might be of interest. Details below. Halting deforestation will require a step-change in approach, and to be effective measures must address underlying and indirect roles of agriculture, says a new study. The study, published in the journal Science, is co-authored by researchers from Stockholm Environment Institute, Chalmers University, Université catholique de Louvain and Trase.
