RDA VSSIG Ontology Metadata Task Group Survey

Dear RDA WGs,
I transfer this to this 3 groups that I know and sometimes participate in, but feel free to transfer this to other metadata/standardization/ontologies related WGs.
Thanks

Dear all,
[Apologies for multiple receptions - this announcement has been sent to multiple mailing lists of the ontology/semantic Web/linked data/standardization communities.]
If you are somehow familiar with the use of ontologies, please consider answering this survey.

Advice on new controlled vocabulary

Hi all,

I'm involved in a project to establish a global network for long-term agricultural experiments (experiments running for >10 years). One aim of the project is to improve access to and interoperability of datasets from these experiments. In most cases I think existing ontologies/vocabularies can be used, but experiment names, fields and plots are not represented by any controlled vocabularly. Clearly creating a concept ID for a name means an experiment, field or plot can be umabiguously referenced, e.g. in DOI metadata.

Fwd: eROSA vision paper

Dear Colleagues
some of you know about the eROSA project, others might have heard about
it. All background information is at http://erosa.aginfra.eu.
At the moment the project team has started the work on the "roadmaps for
eInfrastructures". Basis for this work is a vision paper that should guide
the technical roadmaps.
We have circulated this vision paper broadly with a call for comments
(GODAN website, AIMS website , mailinglists), Nevertheless some of you
might not have gotten it,

Re: [rda-agrdatainterop-ig][rda-wdinterop-wg][rda-agrisemantics-wg][rda-rice-wg][on-farm-data-sharing-wg][metrics-indicators-agriculture] IGAD/RDA pre-conference meeting that will be held on March 19-20, 2018 in Berlin, Germany

Dear Irma,
Apologies for delay. If it fits to the program and there is still a free
slot, I would like to present shortly the "Current state of MIAPPE and
related activities". I talked about this to Paul Kersey and Cyril
Pommier. If possible I will send abstract early next week - currently I
am travelling.
Please register as participants me and Hanna Ćwiek-Kupczyńska.
Best regards
Pawel Krajewski

RE: IGAD/RDA pre-conference meeting that will be held on March 19-20, 2018 in Berlin, Germany

Hi Imma et al.
I am again asking after the fate of the IGAD Soil Interoperability WG, as it seems to have been left of the agenda.
I recall from your previous response that you consider that since the Soil WG is not actively reporting to IGAD and given the formation of the GODAN WG, that soil no longer sits explicitly within IGAD?
