Legal Interoperability telcon this Friday and revised Principles

by Paul Uhlir

Dear Colleagues, Attached is the redlined version of the draft Principles. I have also added them to the Group Wiki on our RDA website. We are no longer using the google.doc version because it's difficult to use.

RE: [rda-legalinterop-ig] [rda-legalinterop-ig] Revised Legal Interoperability Principles--redlined

by Paul Uhlir

Thanks, Bernard. I did not mean that we should endorse every statement in all these references. However, I do think it is one of the relevant "statements, declarations, principles" that we can list as examples of previous work on open access, open data. We can have a suitable intro sentence to all the links in the list. The important point is that the Legal Interoperability Principles are somewhat different from the previous ones. Cheers, Paul ________________________________ From: Jean-Bernard Minster [***@***.***]

Hague Declaration sounds like our principles!

by Gail Clement

Dear colleagues, Of possible interest to our group may be the recently released draft of the Hague Declaration, whose sponsors are now asking for reactions and comments. The focus is Access to Facts, Data and Ideas for Knowledge Discovery in the Digital Age: http://thehaguedeclaration.com/declaration-on-knowledge-discovery-in-the... Very encouraging (and reflective of our own group’s principles!) All best, Gail Gail P. Clement
