The goal of this BoF is to begin the conversation around practices of linked data across the RDA community. Linked data is a term used to describe a recommended best practice for exposing, sharing, and connecting pieces of data, information, and knowledge on the Semantic Web using URIs and RDF.

The agenda is as follows:

  • Welcome
  • Introductions (interest/experience in Linked Data)
  • Background (linked data defined, community of practice defined, semantic web defined)
  • Potential discussion topics/activities:
    • inventory of RDA interest groups/working groups with linked data perspective
    • linked data best practices
    • challenges/opportunities for linked data
    • professional development around linked data
