Date & time: Wednesday 2nd March - 15:00 - 16:30 - Working Meeting Session 5
Meeting title: A Discussion on general and domain-specific metadata approaches for Chemistry, Materials, and Photon & Neutron Data
Chairs: Co-chair Bartolo; Co-chair McEwen; Co-chair Matthews

The three IGs are active RDA efforts that individually aim to discuss overarching concepts, approaches, and practices for data curation, storage, and exchange in their
respective domains.

The joint session will focus on approaches and practices of general and domain specific metadata in each of the IGs.

The objectives of the joint meeting are
*Presenting general & domain-specific metadata approaches
*Identifying commonality and differences among the IGs approaches
*Investigating areas of consensus regarding possible joint metadata practices
*Identifying possible areas for future collaborations across the IGs

1.Short introduction of the groups with presentations on general/domain-specific metadata (speakers) 45 minutes
2.Discussion about commonalities & differences, (all participants) 30 minutes
3.Identifying possible areas for future collaborations across three IGs (all participants) 15 minutes
Targeted audience and how to prepare for the meeting:
For this open session we invite data/metadata practitioners, and community adopters with interests in chemistry, materials, and photons/neutrons.
