Meeting title
Drafting a Working Group Case Statement to develop Design Patterns for Provenance Solutions.
Please give a short introduction describing the activities and the scope of the group
This group focuses on the comparison and evaluation of models for data provenance. It is concerned with questions of data origins, maintenance of identity through the data lifecycle, and how we account for data modification. Objectives of this group include: recommending general and expressive frameworks for documenting research data transactions proposing syntheses of complementary provenance views, and relating data provenance to problems of scientific equivalence and the assessment of data quality.
Please provide additional links to informative material related to your group i.e. group page, Case statement, working documents etc

Please list the meeting objectives
The primary objective for the meeting will be to draft a Working Group case statement for an effort to collect design patterns for provenance solutions and to apply a selection of these patterns to specific test cases to enable sharing of provenance data.
Meeting agenda
We will start with updates on activity and an overview of the group orientation, including a discussion of how the group intersects with other more general metadata efforts, but focuses on the specifics of Provenance.
The bulk of the meeting time will be devoted to drafting a case statement for a new Working Group effort to collect design patterns for provenance solutions and to apply a selection of these patterns to specific test cases to enable sharing of provenance data.
We will also include discussion on overlaps and potential for impact with other RDA WG outputs, in particular that of the recently completed Dynamic Data Citation Working Group.
Audience: Please specify who is your target audience and how they should prepare for the meeting
RDA members interested in participating in the planned working group effort on Provenance Design Patterns, either as participants or adopters, or both.
Members of other RDA Working and interest Groups who have an interest in applying provenance topics to their own efforts.
